Explanation about Limovie Ver.0.9.97.xx.


I. Download and Install

Current version: 0.9.97.3h Download Limovie 0.9.97.3h

Click and download Limovie0997xxx.zip, and unzip the file. Then limovie0997xxx folder which contains two files is made.
   * limovie.exe : The program file of Limovie. Click to run Limovie.
   * CCDSpectralSensitivity.csv : The file of spectral sensitivity of CCD for making diffraction fitting.

An INI file will be generated at the first run of exe file. Limovie does not change any item of OS's registry.


I. Run, and Update to the newest version

Run program

Double click the limovie.exe

Update

(1) Click Update on the main menu

(2) The information on the newest version will be displayed. Read it and click Update button if you need. The updating will be made automatically.
    If it is not necessary to update, click Close button.



II Connect video camera (or video recorder) to your computer.

Connect video camera

Connect video camera or camcorder via cable or capture device as follows.

  1. miniDV camcordr : Connect directly via IEEE1394 (firewire) cable.
    Recently, production of the miniDV camcorder which has video-in port was discontinued. If you have these equipments, connect it via IEEE1394 cable. This connection can make the most accurate signal for occultation observation.
  2. DV encoder comverter. : Video signal is converted to DV signal for .avi file in the capture equipment.
    Grass Valley ADVC55
    Now, ADVC55 and ADVC110 are available. It has very high throughput, so it can be use with poor powered computer.
    Note: IEEE1394 port is necessary on your computer.
  3. Capturing device with software encoder: DV conversion is made by the software in the computer.
    Buffelo PC-SDVD/U2G,
    IO-DATA GV-USB2,
    Connect it via USB 2.0. Recent high power computer is recommended to use.
